This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First time having Cambodian food and WOW this was amazing. Ordered the MiChah with beef and the beef skewers. Both of these dishes were phenomenal. My only complaint is that the tip percentages were wrong. The 20% tip was actually 30%. Despite that, I would definitely come back.

Quite a unique and tasty place. From the outside, you wouldnβt expect the place is quite nice and the foods are well delish. Plenty of parking since they have their own parking lot plus free street parking. Once youβre inside, simply decor and some Cambodian decorations, you felt at easy and homey feeling. Big, clean, and spacious seating area, they do have private and big room for big group (50+). The menu is big but easy to find what you like. The staff are nice, friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our waitress recommended some popular & their specialty dishes. We got 4 dishes and Thai coffee. It does take awhile since they have several tables plus a big group. Once the foods came out, it smelled great and very tasty plus delish. The beef jerky is popular and well seasoned & tasty - and it is chewy. The fish fillets curry, which is our favorite and so yummy. The crepes are thick and very filling and good. The noodle is quite nice and tasty. Overall, it was a great meal for us, we have some left over since itβs a big portion and the price tags are not bad at all.

Veryich Worth the cost. Highly recommended, I will be coming here exclusively, now I need to try their noodles and soup options. We had the catfish, papaya salad, Green been and beef. If youβre looking for Cambodian food, this is the spot. If youβre missing home and craving something authentic and comforting, Sophy is a must-try. I ordered the beef skewers, sour soup, and banh xeo, and everything was so good and full of flavor. The food felt warm and homey in the best way. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Prahok is more of a sauce less of a crudite dip. Or maybe I got the wrong dish. Beef skewers and papaya salad was delicious. Nom krok is addictive. I was expecting more flavor and greens in the nom banh jok. Itβs generous with noodles. Curry broth is delicious. Nothing is over salted. There are also scarves and table settings for sale.
